Lucille BensteadSoprano. Helen Stagg is researching the life and career of Lucille Benstead. She was born in Stuart Town Feb. 5 1891 and died Westminster London, Jan. 7 1983.

The Australian War Memorial website has this photo below. She was very generous in supporting charitable causes and the war effort:

“Miss Lucille Benstead, an Australian soprano, with some wounded AIF soldiers, at a party she gave for them and their friends. From the left they are Lieutenant W.C.
